My Experience as an Active Combat Reservist in Gaza Over the Last Year

Rabbi Danny Weininger made aliyah in 2011 and served in Rimon, the IDF's desert reconnaissance unit, and is currently an active combat reservist in the Jerusalem Brigade. He lives in Jerusalem with his wife Shani and their daughter Hallel, and works at the Jewish Agency's Israel Education Lab, Makom. There he is an administrator and lead educator in their "Dreams of Others" Program. Danny has worked and taught in various synagogues, research institutions, Hebrew schools, and other educational settings in Israel, North America, and Europe. He holds an MA in Jewish Philosophy and was ordained by the Schechter Rabbinic Seminary in 2021. Danny is also a founding member and Rabbi at the Kolot minyan in the Katamonim neighborhood of Jerusalem.
